Section 11 Facilitators Have Some Experiences to Share, But Sparingly

You, as the facilitator, emphasise being with people where they are, in their emotions, tasks and cares.

Any examples you bring to the group from earlier experiences have to be relevant and concise, not examples of practice that disable group members or are practices they have to rival with.

Your task is to assist all to learn.

You are not interested in promoting approaches that prescribe choices and actions for others or lessen people’s choices and make them more dependent on others.
